General

These general rules are framed for the smooth functioning of the school and to maintain discipline. Parents are requested to cooperate with the Special rules/ regulations and changes will be notified separately and the same will be displayed on the notice board of the school.

  • Parents/Guardians and pupils should be fully acquainted with the rules and regulations. Ignorance will not be an excuse. The interpretation of these rules rests with the management of the school and the decision of the Management/Principal is final and binding on all concerned.
  • Students are responsible to the school authority, not only for their conduct in school but also for their general behaviour outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct outside the school by a student will make him or her liable to disciplinary action or removal from the school.
  • Politeness, courtesy and implicit obedience is expected at all times.
  • Students should speak in English in the School campus and should maintain high standards in conversation.
  • No student will be permitted to leave the school during school hours. If a student has to go home, he/she should not be sent to school that day.
  • The use of unfair means in a Test or Examination will result in the annulment of the Entire test/examination result and may lead to expulsion from school.
  • Parents/ Guardians of students are requested to sign the diary of their wards as having seen:-
    1. the notices sent periodically.
    2. the assignments given to the students for out of class hours.
    3. exercise books in which work has been assessed.
  • Attendance on the first day of the school year is compulsory. All pupils must attend classes on the opening day after each vacation. Absence without a valid leave application and nonpayment of fees till the end of July or January, after the summer or winter vacation respectively will lead to the removal of the pupil from the school rolls and the forfeiture of the fee deposited. The name of student who is absent for two consecutive weeks or 12 consecutive working days without permission, will be struck off the rolls.
  • The Principal can, in the interest of the school or the pupil concerned, insist on the withdrawal of a pupil for the following reasons :-
    1. Where a pupil fails to come up to or maintain the academic standards required by the school.
    2. Where, in the opinion of the Principal, a pupil/parent has failed to accept and maintain the discipline of the school and his/her continued presence is detrimental to others and the moral ethics of the school.
    3. Where a pupil is suffering from a disease likely to affect the health of others.
    4. Where the Principal deems it necessary, for any other reason whatsoever.
  • Suggestions or complaints, if any, should be made in writing to the Principal with full name, class and section of their wards.
  • Any change in address or telephone number of parent must be intimated immediately to avoid inconvenience.
  • Full fees for summer and winter vacation will be payable when a withdrawal application is submitted in April or November.
  • Damages caused to the school property must be made good. Fines may be imposed by the Principal for breaches against irregularity, indiscipline, violation of rules and loss or damage to school property.
  • Private Tuition by Staff members is totally banned.
  • Presents (gifts) in any form to the members of the staff is not allowed. Celebration of birthdays or other events is not permitted.
  • Irregular attendance, constant negligence of work, insubordination to teachers, habitual inattention in class, obscenity in words or deed, willful and repeated breaches of the school regulations, individually or collectively, will lead a pupil to serious punishment and/or expulsion. Application for leave by the parent must be submitted in advance to the Principal. Medical certificate and fitness certificate must be submitted accordingly.
  • Every student when informed to attend extra classes or to take part in extra curricular activities of the school must follow the instruction and participate in the same.
  • Students should bring their diaries daily to school.
  • Students are expected to strive to uphold the name of the school everywhere. They shall refrain from doing anything that will damage the reputation of the school.
  • Prior permission from the Principal for leave is essential.
  • Where a student fails to gain the required academic standard expected of him/her, it would be in the interest of the student that he/she may leave the school, when he/she is still young enough to benefit joining a school more suitable for him/her. Parents are expected to act according to the advice of the Principal.
  • Parents and their servants are not allowed to enter the class room during the class hours.
  • No student will be allowed to leave school during school hours under normal circumstances. Either of the parents, along with the photo identity card issued from school, must come to school to take a student back from school during school hours in case of any emergency and unforeseen circumstances. Parents are requested to seek appointment and plan engagements after school hours to avoid inconvenience Parents / Guardians should arrange to take their ward back home as quickly as possible after the school gets over. The school will not be held responsible for any occurence after the school hours.
  • Parents should be particular that their ward appears for all the tests and examinations.
  • Students infected by infectious diseases or those who are exposed to such diseases in their homes must complete the quarantine period before re-joining the school. This should be indicated on the Medical certificate.
  • Students will not be allowed to enter the School Campus once the school gate is closed after the first bell. Parents must ensure that their wards enter the school campus before the bell. Those who reach school by common/ public transport must be more careful to reach school before the first bell. Late comers will be sent back.
  • Students are not permitted to carry cameras, mobile phones, laptop computers, electronics gadgets of any kind to school. Students found carrying any of these articles will be liable to be punished for violation of rules and such articles will be confiscated. Repetition of such acts will lead to expulsion from school. Parents must ensure that their wards do not carry any such articles to school.
  • Students should not carry cash to school.
  • Family identity cards of students and their parents with details are issued by the school. Only those whose photograph is available along with their wards will be able to approach the school authorities for any official work other than remitting the fees. Fees can be remitted by anyone. Relations of students will not be permitted to represent any student for any official work. Persons without the identity cards trying to represent any student will be treated as trespassers.
  • Arms and ammunitions are prohibited inside the school campus. Parents/visitors who carry arms/ammunitions to school will deposit the same at the reception before proceeding for any official work.
  • Transfer certificates will be issued only after a student has completed one year.
  • Participation in Inter House activities and attendance at the school functions is obligatory. Failure to comply with it is punishable as deemed fit by the Principal.
  • All the students are expected to come in proper school uniform. No fancy hair style is allowed in school.
  • No student will be allowed to use a two wheeler (Motor cycle/scooty) as a mode of conveyance to school.
